1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GraceBox ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GraceBox is an AI-powered email screening and rewriting service that integrates with Gmail. It screens emails from senders you designate, analyzes tone, and rewrites hostile or hurtful messages into professional, constructive language before delivering them to your inbox.

3. Account & Authentication

To use GraceBox, you must authenticate with a valid Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

4. Gmail Access

By connecting your Gmail account, you grant GraceBox permission to:

  • Read and modify emails from your screened senders
  • Create and manage the "GraceBox Originals" label in your Gmail account
  • Insert rewritten emails into your inbox

You can revoke GraceBox's access to your Gmail at any time through your Google Account permissions settings. Revoking access will stop all email processing immediately.

5. Subscription & Billing

  • Free tier: 1 screened sender, 25 emails/month
  • Paid plans: Billed monthly through Stripe

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your current plan through the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be issued for partial months.

6. AI-Powered Rewriting

GraceBox uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to analyze email tone and rewrite messages. While we strive for accuracy and fidelity to the original message's factual content, please be aware that:

  • AI-generated content may not always perfectly capture the original sender's intent
  • Rewrites are intended to remove hostile tone while preserving factual information
  • Original emails are always preserved in the "GraceBox Originals" folder for your reference

You agree that rewrites are provided "as-is" and that you should refer to original emails when exact wording is critical.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use GraceBox to:

  • Circumvent legal communications, including court orders, legal notices, or official government correspondence
  • Harass, deceive, or mislead others using rewritten content
  • Process emails in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

8. Limitation of Liability

GraceBox is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event shall GraceBox, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, missed emails, inaccurate rewrites, or service interruptions, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to GraceBox at any time for violation of these Terms of Service or at our discretion with reasonable notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
  • We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period
  • Original emails in your Gmail account will not be affected

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
